Estudio del rol de Ecotin en la infección oral por Salmonella Typhimurium.

Abstract

El trabajo presentado aquí refleja la importancia de ecotin en Salmonella Typhimurium durante la infección para evadir al sistema proteolítico de defensa del hospedador. Demostramos que el gen ecotin permite a Salmonella Typhimurium ingresar por vía oral, transitar y colonizar el tracto gastrointestinal para luego desarrollar la patología.

The work presented here highlights the importance of ecotin in Salmonella Typhimurium during the infection to evade the host defense proteolytic system. We were able to demonstrate that the ecotin gene allows Salmonella Typhimurium to enter through the oral route, travel and colonize the gastrointestinal tract to develop the associated pathology.
