La incidencia del campo discursivo feminista en la implementación del aborto legal en Argentina (2004- 2017)

Abstract

Despite abortion being legal in Argentina in case of rape or risk to life or health since 1922, historically this right was hardly ever made effective. Since 2006 a growing feminist movement, together with various allies within social society and inside the State performed enormous advocacy efforts that included creation of legal arguments, participation in sessions of various United Nations Committees, national and international strategic litigation, among other strategies and actions. After a decade of political struggle, significant improvements and relevant turns in Public Policies that concern abortion were achieved. This work therefore portrays the strategies performed, the alliances built and the progresses that were achieved.
